Designated hitter Frank Thomas had 2 base hits as the Columbus Crowd outscored
the Chainsaw Proctologists 5 to 4.
 
Columbus promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring 2 runs.
Rickie Weeks led off and he drew a walk.  Mike Lamb next to the plate and he
grounded into a double play.  Thomas then drew a walk.  Vladimir Guerrero was
up next and he drew a walk.  Nate McLouth stepped into the box and drew a
walk to load the bases.  Khalil Greene continued the rally and drew a walk
plating a run.  Andre Ethier stepped into the batter's box and he drew a walk
scoring the final run of the inning.  Chainsaw threatened in the 9th but
their rally came up short.  
 
The victory was credited to Chad Billingsley(4-2) who went 5 innings, allowing
2 runs. Joba Chamberlain recorded the save, his 1st.  Joe Kennedy(1-4) ended
up with the loss.  He had trouble throwing strikes and issued 10 walks in 5
innings.  
 
Despite losing Rick Graves was optimistic after the game.  'We'll get over
this one.  Sometimes the breaks fall your way, sometimes they don't.  Any one
of a dozen little things go different, and we come out on top.'
